BUSINESS ARISING FROM PREVIOUS MINUTES: · The speakers behind the tower are too loud and too low, needs to be moved as very deafening · If anyone is available to help out with scrutineering for the May meeting that would be great
NEW BUSINESS: · Safety barrier on the left hand side of the canteen needs to be addressed · There will be scrutineering at the track Friday 9th May from 5 – 8 pm with a BBQ and the bar will also be open. · Peter Datson to ring Westlands to see if we can have a car display on Friday 9th May · Danny needs helpers to set up lights and also to show how to run the computer system, to have some double up on his work · Lights need to be repaired in the off season · Working bee Saturday 3rd May · New club shirts $30.00 each see Barry Jackson if you would like to place an order · Next meeting date has been changed to the 29th April · Anyone who has any old lino or tar paper please let Jim Higgins know he is looking for some for under the tank · Ron Mathews to check the pumps out behind the canteen before the next meeting · Racing times are incorrect on the entry forms, should be tine trials from 10 – 1pm and racing starting at 2 pm · Received sponsorship from North East Isuzu / Port Augusta Ford. They donated a cool room with 3 phase power · Was agreed that we will start free drinks for after race meetings for volunteers and racers · Barry Brooks has donated a ute for promotional work, it has 2 way radios which have a 4km range also has a log book and anyone who drives the ute must fill out the book for records. Barry is organising to get sign writing on the car. · Rider Safe have apparently moved to the show grounds, but will get this confirmed by Tracy Murray · Issues raised to make the work for the Security guards a little easier · Wheel on gate into the pit area · The chain on the gate needs to be cut so it can be lockable · Lighting to face the security gate instead of car park · Radios needed for next season so security knows what it going on · Another no alcohol sign for the gate into the pits · Confirmation that no driver or crew is eligible to drink in the pits until after the race meeting · Decided that in all racers packs handed out in credentials when signing in will now include a TOW VEHICLE and ACCESS VEHICLE pass. No other vehicle will be able to enter the pit area. · Tracy would like a list of all drag and speed shops that we want posters etc to be sent to for meeting information
